WSOP 2010 Schedule of Events

Posted under Poker & poker celebrities & poker tournament

Harrah’s Enterprises, operator of the World Series of Poker, has revealed the official schedule of events for the 41st annual WSOP set to kick off from May 27th, 2010 with the Casino Employees No-Limit Hold’em, and final events on November 9th, 2010 with the Main Event Table.

The 2010 World Series of Poker schedule features a total of 57 bracelets poker events, including three brand new events ($50,000 Player’s Championship Event #2, $10,000 H.O.R.S.E Event #43, World Championship, $25,000 6-Handed No-Limit tournament Event #52). The WSOP 2010 schedule of events refers to a few changes, for example, the $50.000 H.O.R.S.E event has been substituted with the $50,000 “Player’s Championship” (Event #2), featuring eight different games (Limit Hold’em, Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better, Seven Card Razz, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better, No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball).

The first 5 weekends of the poker series (May 29-30, June 5-6, June 12-13, June 19-20 and June 26-27) will include $1,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em tournaments with two preliminary flights. Additionally, a sixth schedule of events on July 1-2, will also offer the same event at the same buy-in level. The 41st annual World Series of Poker will finish on Monday, July 5th with the $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Championship Main Event. The Main Event will be interrupted on July 17th, and will continue on four months later with the “November Nine” final table running from November 6th-9th

Other variations slated for the WSOP 2010 include a number of new rules that will normalize the daily amount of play, and the addition of more poker tables. According to the WSOP 2010 official site, the entire convention center of the Rio Las Vegas will be commited to the 2010 World Series of Poker, with tournament tables in the 58,000 square foot Pavilion and the 38,000 square foot Amazon Room.

The 2010 World Series of Poker is also giving poker players more than five months to sign-up for the first event on the World Series of Poker 2010 schedule. Pre-registration for the WSOP is offered at the Main Cage of the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino and online at the World 2010 WSOP official site. Sign-up for all bracelet poker events will remain open until the start of the third level (approximately 2 hours, 20 minutes after start time) or until all seats are sold.

“Whatever your game and whatever your bankroll, the 2010 WSOP schedule offers something for everyone. We are planning for the largest WSOP ever and look forward to welcoming all players to the Rio in Las Vegas next summer.” said WSOP Tournament Director Jack Effel.

FullTilt.com launches new “Durrrr Challenge” Info page

Posted under Poker & poker celebrities & poker tournament

FullTilt.com has recently launched a new info site containing all the details of the “Durrrr Challenge”, an incredible online heads up tournament presenting some of the most talented high stakes online players taking on the online poker phenom Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The innovative new site presents online poker players and fans the chance to track this amazing durrrr challenge and receive regular updates. With this innovative “durrrr Challenge” portal players can track all the poker action and check out each hand played during this poker challenge, and check out lots of stats, including number of hands played, time of session, amount won, average won during each hand and much more.

Around six months ago, the twenty-three year old online poker pro issued a heads-up challenge for any player with the money, time and talent to accept it. Any poker player entering the poker challenge has to wager $500,000 against Tom’s $1.5 million. Tom’s challenge specifies that a minimum 50,000 hands need to be played at the same time at four or more poker tables of no-limit Hold’em or pot-limit Omaha. At the end of the durrrr challenge, the player who has more money will win the pool. Essentially if you enter the Full Tilt Durrrr Challenge and win a dollar after the 50,000 hands, then you will secure durrrr’s $1.5 Million, but if he wins by a dollar then he will win your $500,000.

To date, a few poker players have accepted to play the “durrrr challenge”, including WSOP Champ Phil Ivey and David Benyamine, however, only Patrick Antonius has consented to the Full Tilt Poker Challenge. Until now, both poker pros have taken part in a total of 20,647 poker hands out of 50,000, with Dwan ahead $726,546 total.

For more information on the “durrrr” Challenge and durrrr vs. Antonius, please go to http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/durrrr-vs-antonius

Is Boasting in Poker Tournaments a Good Thing or a Bad Thing?

Posted under Poker & poker tournament & texas hold em

poker
The most hated individuals at the Texas Hold’em Poker table the majority of times will forever be the attention-seeker. You know the person I’m telling you about. He’s the poker player that pulls up a chair at the poker table and makes clear you’re mindful that he desires all of your poker chips; exiting the Texas Hold’em Poker table with the very same posture that he showed-up with. Even if this guy loses, he has the idea that he is the greatest no-limit Texas Hold’em player hands down.

Whilst the bulk of no-limit Texas Hold’em players would preferably avoid rivals of this category, there exist other poker players who could say that bragging could have its advantages. So, the question is: Is there in all reality a clever Texas Hold’em show-off or a bad poker bragger? Show-boating about how accomplished you are in poker is basically just like stating: “I am the greatest Texas Hold’em player on the planet, always remember to be on the ball while you’re competing in a poker game against me!” That’s about the most awful vibe to send out playing no limit Texas Hold’em poker. Furthermore, giving away too much about your Texas Hold’em Poker playing method can be negative to your Texas Hold’em Poker game. You undeniably do not want these individuals to have an idea about how you play specific poker hands.

Also there are those Texas Hold’em Poker competitors who might utilize bragging as a manner of Texas Hold’em technique, or bluff. Shooting off your mouth when you get a certain no limit Texas Hold’em poker hand might possibly throw your opponents for a loop and puzzle them about your no limit Texas Hold’em poker playing technique. There are a few people who might think that this technique a bit deceitful, but it is significant to bear in mind that there aren’t tons of rules against it in no limit Texas Hold’em poker. Texas Hold’em is all about making a dollar out of fifteen cents and exploiting it to the end.

Full Tilt Online Poker Site and World Poker Tour Enterprises Take a Gamble

Posted under Poker & poker celebrities & poker tournament

w.p.t.
Two of the biggest online poker corporations out there are signing a sponsorship deal soon in what is expected to be an extraordinarily profitable gamble. The incredibly popular poker website FullTiltPoker.net has recently stated that they are joining with World Poker Tour Enterprises for the approaching World Poker Tour Enterprises season. Fulltiltpoker will be the prime promoter of the World World Poker Tour’s seventh season, and the poker site will be presented in every single one of the shows which can be enjoyed on FSN. Fulltiltpoker will gain all the rights to the educational portion of the installments.

Particulars of this union have not been released thus far, but the agreement is certain be a breakthrough. This pact will combine two enormously strong Texas Hold’em poker names. W.P.T.E. which is a well-known powerhouse on television through Fox Sports Net channel and Full Tilt Poker which has a vast Texas Hold’em following, and a Texas Hold’em poker team containing players who have won a total of 10 W.P.T.E. titles and thirty-five W.S.O.P. bracelets. FullTiltPoker.com also supports many other poker players and now the Texas Hold’em webpage has started offering poker coaching also.

This pact is sure to bring in a fresh fan base and is guaranteed to satisfy the recent popularity which Texas Hold’em is producing. This partnership is a sign of W.P.T.’s submission of the online poker room business as World Poker Tour will soon shut their Texas Hold’em site W.P.T. online. The pay to play webpage ClubWPT.com will more than likely stay open.

Staying away from Interruptions when you are playing Texas Holdem

Posted under Poker & poker tips & poker tournament

poker
The advantages of internet poker opposed to real Texas Holdem casinos are unlimited, but along with these benefits there are also various drawbacks. Online Texas Holdem permits non-professional Texas Hold em players the ability to contend in professional poker tournaments with skilled poker players, but these non-professional Texas Hold em players should prevent any distractions that could impair their prospects to win big money.

Lots of online Texas Holdem poker players become sidetracked by household distractions, or possibly by the online poker site they are competing on. These interruptions can truly cost them great hands and most likely their well-merited Texas Holdem Poker chips. The game of poker is a game of skillfulness and also complete attentiveness, no matter if you are playing Texas Holdem at home, or in a real poker room.

In all probability, the principal error that Full Tilt Poker players commit is by being involved in more than one table at once. The majority of amateur online poker players will assume that this is a good scheme, but ultimately it could prove to be a harm. This mode of playing numerous poker tables in sequence will harm your concentration and at the end of the day cost you poker money. Don’t forget that even the most famous Texas Holdem poker players in the world will make harmful slip-ups when directing their mind on a few online poker tables at the same time.

Any particular online poker player, maybe at some time, find themselves playing various Full Tilt Poker tables at the same time, at the same time as they are watching TV, reading their preferred website, text messaging friends etc. This is a circumstance which should be shunned if you aspire to win poker games and succeed for big online poker tournaments. Remember to focus your mind on the other internet poker player’s wagers, their actions, and your own online Texas Holdem poker hands if you desire to be the best Texas Hold em player.
