This Sunday, November 30th the CBS network will present their documentary “How Online Gamblers Unmasked Cheaters”. This documentary was shot after a 4 month investigation into the online Texas Hold’em poker business and exclusively a scam in relation to the online Texas Hold’em webpage Absolute Poker.
This poker website was investigated after a number of the Texas Hold’em players on the website alleged that a player was unduly winning an incredible amount of money. Todd Witteles was a significant player in this investigation, according to him; he was losing large amounts of money to the exact same Texas Hold’em poker player. Witteles declared that this poker player was raising against awfully good cards, most people would have assumed he was simply giving his money to the other players, but he was in reality winning money.
Witteles was correct with his theories, much later it was shown that a poker player on the inside was able to view any poker player’s poker hole cards. At first, Absolute Poker proclaimed that nothing was wrong with the room or the poker competitor. After numerous players stepped up with allegations, the Texas Hold’em poker website explored deeper into the issue and discovered wrongdoing.
By Jan. of this year, the gaming commission revealed what the poker competitors and the Texas Hold’em website had suspected all the time. The investigation proved that, there was a member of the staff who had hacked the poker webpage’s security system and was playing unlawfully for more or less six weeks. The investigation showed that the Texas Hold’em website had not gained from the dishonest actions in any way, and was in no way engaged in the activities.
These circumstances are further testimony that there needs to be more laws in regards to online Texas hold’em sites. The US government needs to license and control the online gambling business to shield these honorable consumers. These rules would also control the access to these websites by kids, which is becoming another problem issue recently.
